In my job I’m lucky enough to be able to work with a wide range of organisations, and some of these are extremely close to my heart. This was one of those commissions, working for a recovery and rehabilitation centre in Cheshire on a Guerrilla Art Project.
After a fairly long consultation process, Alternative Futures Group invited me in to decorate their bare, clinical walls by spraypainting a nature mural featuring butterflies and leaves. Some of the leaves were painted in chalkboard paint so that the residents and staff could interact with the finished work.
You can find a write-up on the Alternative Futures Group blog which also features the other artists here: http://alternativefuturesgroup.org.uk/guerrilla-art-project/
