David Andrews is a graphic designer and artist who paints under the name of And At What Cost, he specialises in large and small scale street art. His background and experience in mixed media, graphic design and Scherenschnitte (paper-cutting) influences his street artwork; using multi-layered stencils and acrylic spray-paint in a range of vibrant colours. Many of David’s current pieces are linked to science and nature, a theme which continues to inspire him.

David has participated in a number of exhibitions across the country and has also done large-scale art commissions for a rehabilitation centres and retail spaces as well as bedroom feature walls, he is also currently working with ton a community street art project. David is passionate about changing negative perceptions of street art and graffiti, believing (and indeed demonstrating) that it is possible to create beautiful art from a spray can.

He will be running workshops at Ageing Well Festival demonstrating the work and process that goes into producing street art and collaborating with the public to produce a flower mural using some new stencil designs.
